During the year 1990 an Educational conference was held in our campus. Her Excellency Justice. M. Fathima Beevi Governor of Tamilnadu who was then Judge of Supreme Court participated and declared open a Hostel Building for girls when Her Excellency expressed her desire that girls should be taught religious education too along with secular education. Hither to our girl students were studying in the nearby Gandhimathi Ambal Girls Higher Secondary School. Keeping the desire of Her Excellency a separate Oriental Arabic Girls Higher Secondary School was started from the academic year 1990-91 and it was named "The Fathima Oriental Arabic Girls Higher Secondary School". However there is no separate Science Laboratory for the girl students and they are doing their practical's in our sister institution, M.N. Abdur Rahman Higher Secondary school for boys. Insha Allah, we have proposed to construct a Science Laboratory for our Girls Higher Secondary school for which the Moulana Abul Khalam Azad Education Foundation has sanctioned Rs.10/- lakhs. Her Excellency the Governor of Tamilnadu Justice. M. Fathima Beevi in whose name the school was started laid foundation stone on 30.3.99 in a function arranged in our campus. Indeed it is an unique memorable occasion. The integrated educational atmosphere in which the religious and secular education make a fine blending and the disciplined Islamic way of life have been the main reasons for the decision of many wealthy Muslim parents to send their children as paying students in this campus.
